When I was young
my older brother and I would always have fun.
We would run around with each other
I loved when he would give me piggy back rides

When I was young
Both my parents would tuck me in
kiss me on the forehead
and wish me sweet dreams

When I was young
I did not have a care in the world.
The only thing that concerned me was
What cartoons were on television

Now that I’m older
Everything has changed.
No more piggy back rides from my older brother
I’m too have for that.
My mom and dad do not tuck me in anymore
They’re usually in bed before I am.
And now,
I have alot more to worry about instead of just cartoons.

It’s all about school, sports and work
My future is now my concern
For now, all I can do is
Remember when I was young.
